The Design Group Miami, The Premiere Décor and Production Vendor of the 2009 SOBE Wine & Food Festival, Welcomed the King and Queen of Spain

Top trade and media kicked off the festival in style under the TDG-designed tent

February 21, 2009, Miami, Florida— On Friday, February 20th, 2009, the red carpet was rolled out to welcome their Majesties, King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain, for a very special ribbon cutting ceremony to open up the 2009 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival. The Design Group (TDG) Miami created a rich, vibrant atmosphere in the Wines from Spain tent that dazzled the industry elite who were lucky enough to attend this special opening ceremony. Notable attendees included TDG COO Dionne Anderson, TDG Partner Jean Augustin, Wine and Food Festival Executive Director, Lee Brian Schrager,

At about half past noon, a large motorcade entered the SOBE Wine & Food Festival, located just yards away from the pristine ocean in South Beach. The scene could only be fit for a King and Queen. Invited guests and media surrounded the red carpet where their Majesties made their grand entrance to cheers and applause. After the King and Queen ceremoniously cut the 18 ft.-long red and gold ribbon, cut and sewn by TDG’s in-house seamstress, a variety of over 30 wines from Spain were uncorked and served to guests to savor. Meanwhile, our own TDG photographer got the opportunity to walk with the King and Queen as they surveyed the grounds of the Wine and Food festival.
